Ok I know that I just posted but I need some help.
I am an avid reader and at the moment can't find anything to read! So anyone have any suggestions?
I like to read biographies, memoirs, fiction and the classics as well. NO romance or sci-fi.
Ok thanks
burnedout with nothin to read!
I'm currently diving into She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb. Not very far in yet, but so far so good!
ReplyDeletea good memoir is carrie fisher's 'wishful drinking'.
ReplyDeleteshe's the one from star wars (sci-fi) but the book isnt about star wars at all. its about her struggles being bi-polar, suffering from depression, and drugs alcohol etc.
she is hilarious
I am reading Tao of Willie... yes, as in Nelson. It is a quick read but really sweet and upbeat for this time of year. I am in no way a country music fan, but he is just a genuine, kind man and he'll make you smile.
ReplyDeleteRandom, I know.
Oh god...I wish I could suggest something to you, but I haven't read a book in ages.
ReplyDelete(that's because I'm on this damn computer all the time)
But when I do read, I'm like you. Biographies and memoirs. I like reading real stories about real people.
The Help; Official Book Club Selection; anything by Jodi Picoult; any of the Prey series by John Sandford; any of Philippa Gregory's historical fiction; anything by John Jakes....I could go on and on....
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for your suggestions; I am gonna definately try that Carrie Fisher one-it seems to be right up my alley! Hey ron, put down the mouse and pick up a book will ya?! Happy Thanksgiving everyone
ReplyDeleteI just finished In a Perfect World and The Good Thief. I don't know the authors because I am at work and the books are at home. Both were good stories. I like a good story. Picked them both up at Target on a Thanksgiving supply run this weekend. Sorry to post Anon, I don't have any of the options they offer, Kim.
